Less than a year since its inception, CFM Logistics has commenced port operations in the Port of Pemba, Cabo Delgado province, focusing on serving the oil and gas industry.
The company, exclusively owned by Empresa Portos e Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM), aims to expand its business ventures in the sector.
Established as part of CFM’s strategy to participate in Mozambique’s burgeoning oil and gas industry, CFM Logistics seeks to become a significant player and a benchmark in oil and gas logistics within the national market, in line with government mandates.
Agostinho Langa, President of CFM’s Board of Directors, shared this information during a recent meeting in Maputo.
The move underscores CFM’s commitment to diversifying its operations and leveraging opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
Additionally, CFM Logistics is set to resume maritime services at the Port of Nacala, Nampula province, in July.
This initiative aligns with the company’s short- and medium-term strategy to actively participate in offshore operations, further solidifying its presence in Mozambique’s oil and gas logistics landscape.
