CEVA Project Logistics Completes 2,900 km Cross-Border Heavy Transport from Durban to Kolwezi
The Project Logistics team at CEVA successfully executed a highly complex transportation project spanning nearly 2,900 kilometers across South Africa, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The operation required navigating challenging terrains, meeting a critical delivery deadline, and managing extensive cross-border compliance requirements.

Inspection Handling: Bureau Veritas inspections were arranged within 48 hours, requiring synchronized coordination with truck availability and cross-border documentation.
Cross-Country Compliance: Transporting through three countries required rigorous attention to trade regulations and comprehensive documentation to avoid delays.
Specialized Transport: Oversized dump trucks required out-of-gauge transport vehicles, permits from regional authorities, and careful route planning to accommodate heavy loads.

This ensured the convoy advanced smoothly across three national borders without disruptions. Comprehensive port clearance procedures were launched immediately upon shipment confirmation, while all documentation was pre-processed to eliminate bottlenecks.
Despite the urgency and complexity, the convoy departed Durban on schedule and arrived in Kolwezi within the required timeframe.
