Angola plans to certify five airports in the short and medium term to enhance operational security and international connectivity, according to the Minister of Transport, Ricardo de Abreu.
Speaking on Monday in Luanda during a workshop on aerodrome certification, the minister emphasized the importance of these initiatives for the country.
Ricardo de Abreu, addressing Rádio Nacional de Angola, explained that the workshop aims to train Angolan specialists and personnel in the aviation sector.
He underscored the significance of certifying Angolan airports to ensure improved connectivity and the operational security of airport infrastructure.
Highlighting the relevance of the certification process, the minister noted that Angola’s primary airport network comprises 18 airports.
This move is seen as a critical step in strengthening the country’s aviation sector and supporting its broader economic and connectivity goals.
