TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola will enhance the visual identity of its newly ordered Airbus A220 and Boeing B787 Dreamliner aircraft, aligning with its strategy to transform and reaffirm its brand image.
According to a press release sent to JA Online, the aircraft will prominently feature Angolan heritage elements in their design.
This includes the PALANCA emblem on the tail and wings, and a color scheme inspired by the traditional Angolan “samakaka” cloth.
“The first aircraft in the TAAG fleet to showcase this ‘new livery’ will be the Airbus A220-300, with a capacity of 137 passengers (12 in business class and 125 in economy class), scheduled for delivery in the third quarter of this year,” the release states.
TAAG’s new Airbus A220-300 will soon serve local and regional flights, displaying Angola’s colors and reflecting TAAG’s ambition to position itself as a modern and preferred airline.
“In light of significant upcoming challenges, such as the transition to the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto Luanda International Airport and changes in the competitive landscape with the introduction of the Single African Air Transport Market (MUTAA/SAATM), the company is executing its strategic plan by expanding its fleet and destinations to capture more traffic and enhance regional connectivity,” the statement concludes.
