Transportadora Aérea Angolana (TAAG) has been recognized for offering the most attractive flight prices during the high-demand months of July and August.
For instance, on the Luanda-Lisbon-Luanda route, TAAG charged a minimum of 910,000 kwanzas for a direct flight of just over seven hours.
In contrast, the Portuguese airline TAP, which also operates direct flights on the same route, charged 1,650 euros (1.5 million kwanzas).
For airlines flying from Angola with stopovers, such as Emirates (Dubai), Air Maroc (Morocco), EgyptAir (Egypt), and Lufthansa (Germany), ticket prices ranged between 710,000 and 900,000 kwanzas.
The duration of these flights varies, often exceeding 24 hours, depending on the number of stops.
In a note sent to newsrooms yesterday, TAAG announced the addition of the Luanda-Porto-Luanda route to its global flight schedule.
This itinerary will be available during the Christmas and New Year festive period, with 16 special services in December and January 2025.
These flights will be operated by Boeing 777 aircraft, with night departures from Luanda and day departures from Porto.
In a recent exclusive interview with Jornal de Angola, the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, highlighted that the government’s “Made in Angola” initiative has successfully integrated locally produced food into TAAG’s in-flight catering service.
