Port of Luanda Recognized for Excellence in Leadership by ESQR

The Port of Luanda was honored in Brussels, Belgium, as one of the public companies with the best quality of leadership, according to a press release sent to JA Online.

This distinction was awarded at a convention held by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), a European organization dedicated to promoting the improvement of quality management strategies for processes, services, and products on a global scale.

The recognition, according to ESQR, “acknowledges the Port of Luanda’s investment over the last three years in providing quality services, good business practices, and technological innovation through a successful performance strategy, thanks to its exceptional leadership and quality promotion initiatives.”

João Fernandes highlighted that this award values and rewards the efforts undertaken by the Port of Luanda and increases the company’s level of responsibility, as around 80% of the country’s exports and imports currently pass through it.

The “Best Leadership at ESQR” distinction, granted to both private and public organizations, aims to encourage winners to pursue better actions to achieve their business, institutional, and professional objectives through continuous quality improvement.

This year, the distinction was extended to 55 entities from Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Australia, recognizing individuals and organizations in social, economic, and diplomatic sectors, as well as business leaders, academics, and professionals renowned for their quality initiatives.
