One Air Expands Cargo Fleet with First Boeing 777 Freighter Delivery

UK’s One Air Adds First Boeing 777 Freighter to Boost Asia and Middle East Cargo Operations

British cargo airline One Air has taken delivery of its first Boeing 777 Freighter at Boeing’s Everett facility in the United States, marking a major milestone in its fleet expansion and strengthening its long-haul cargo operations.

A subsidiary of AIR ONE International Holdings, One Air operates out of London Heathrow (LHR) and currently serves key cargo hubs in Hong Kong (HKG), Bangkok (BKK), Delhi (DEL), and Dubai (DXB).

These high-demand routes support industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, and automotive, with both scheduled and charter services.

The new Boeing 777 Freighter offers a payload capacity of 102 tonnes and a range of 9,200 km, significantly boosting One Air’s ability to handle large-scale, long-distance shipments.

While Africa is not part of its current network, the aircraft’s range makes direct service to hubs such as Johannesburg (JNB), Nairobi (NBO), and Lagos (LOS) feasible in the future.

Through its subsidiary AeroTransCargo FZE, AIR ONE is pursuing a broader fleet expansion strategy that may eventually include African cargo routes.

For now, One Air continues to focus on Asia–Middle East corridors, with Africa served indirectly via partner connections.

Industry analysts note that growing demand for African cargo capacity, driven by trade and e-commerce growth, could position One Air to enter the market in the near future.

The airline’s advanced tracking technology and 24/7 customer support are expected to strengthen its appeal as it scales operations.
