EFIS Maroc, a subsidiary of ECS Group, has announced a strategic partnership with China Eastern Airlines, further cementing its leadership in African cargo logistics.
Effective January 19, 2025, this collaboration introduces three weekly flights between Casablanca and Shanghai, with a stopover in Marseille.
The flights, scheduled for Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, will use Boeing 787-900 aircraft with an 18-tonne cargo capacity, according to an official ECS Group statement.
The new service primarily targets the automotive industry, ensuring the secure and timely transportation of high-value components between Morocco and China.
This initiative not only bolsters supply chains but also fosters stronger trade relations and economic growth between the two regions.
Jean Ceccaldi, CEO of ECS Group, stated, “This partnership with China Eastern Airlines marks a key milestone for EFIS Maroc and ECS Group.
Combining our regional expertise with innovative tools, we aim to redefine standards in efficiency and reliability for cargo logistics.”
EFIS Maroc will leverage ECS Group’s global network and advanced digital tools to optimize the partnership. Key innovations include Squair, a solution for streamlining customs reporting, and CargoAi, a cutting-edge digital booking platform.
These tools are designed to enhance transparency, improve operational efficiency, and provide tailored cargo management solutions for China Eastern Airlines, resulting in greater customer satisfaction.
This partnership reinforces Morocco’s position as a vital gateway to Africa and underscores ECS Group’s commitment to expanding its footprint across the continent.
By integrating advanced logistics solutions, EFIS Maroc and China Eastern Airlines are poised to set new benchmarks in air cargo management.
