CLM to Establish New Logistics Terminal at Agility Logistics Park in Maputo

Corredor Logístico de Maputo (CLM) has selected the Agility Logistics Park in Maputo as the site for its new logistics terminal, office, and distribution center—a significant step forward for Mozambique’s logistics infrastructure and supply chain capacity.

The upcoming CLM terminal will cover 7,000 square meters within the Agility Logistics Park, a modern, secure facility featuring world-class warehousing built to international standards.

Once operational, the terminal will process over 50,000 tonnes of in-transit cargo annually.

It will also offer short-term storage for staple food commodities, helping ensure a stable domestic supply and enhancing national food security.

Neide Tsenane, Country Lead for Agility Logistics Parks Mozambique, welcomed the development, stating:

“We are honored to have CLM join our facility and proud they’ve chosen Agility as the location for their new terminal.

This partnership aligns with our mission to facilitate trade, strengthen supply chains, and drive Mozambique’s economic growth.

At Agility, we offer flexible, efficient, and sustainable warehousing solutions designed to help clients scale successfully.”

The CLM facility will serve as an integrated service center featuring a one-stop-shop model that co-locates essential services, including the Mozambique Tax Authority (AT), Kudumba MC-Net, the National Migration Service (SENAMI), customs brokers, and freight forwarders. This design aims to streamline cargo processing, minimize delays, and improve overall logistics efficiency.

CLM also emphasized the long-term strategic value of the project. Plans are underway for the eventual development of a dry port, which would link inland logistics corridors with coastal shipping (cabotage) operations.

CLM noted that Agility’s infrastructure provides the ideal foundation for such future expansion.

Strategically located in the Chiango area of the Marracuene District, the Agility Logistics Park lies within 25 kilometers of key transport routes—including the Maputo Ring Road, the Port of Maputo, Maputo International Airport, the N4 highway to South Africa, and the Central Business District.

The park spans 320,000 square meters and currently includes 32,000 square meters of warehouse space and 10,000 square meters of open yard developed in its first phase.

Due to strong demand, a second phase is underway that will add 27,000 square meters of additional warehouse space, bringing the total to about 60,000 square meters of Grade A logistics infrastructure.

Agility Africa CEO Geoffrey White highlighted the value of ready-built, high-quality logistics infrastructure:

“Access to modern, ready-to-occupy warehouse space reduces capital costs, accelerates market entry, and boosts economic growth. It enables businesses to operate more efficiently and scale faster.”

Agility Logistics Parks continues to expand its footprint across Africa, with logistics parks in Mozambique, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, and Egypt—covering more than 1.4 million square meters of industrial real estate across the continent.
