TAAG, Linhas Aéreas de Angola (Angolan Airlines) is set to receive a significant boost to its fleet with the arrival of five new aircraft before the end of 2024.
This news was announced by the Angolan Minister of Transport, Ricardo d’Abreu, according to Rádio Nacional de Angola.
The Minister did not disclose specific details regarding the size or type of the incoming aircraft. However, his statement indicates a mix of “small and large planes” will be added to TAAG’s existing fleet.
This suggests the airline is aiming to improve its capacity to serve a wider range of routes and passenger demands.
In addition to the airline news, Minister d’Abreu also mentioned plans for:
- Introducing new vessels for ferry services across the Luanda bay to Mussulo Island.
- Implementing a plan to address waste management issues on the national railway network.
These announcements suggest a broader push by the Angolan Ministry of Transport to modernize and improve the country’s transportation infrastructure.
