AGL President Urges Professionals to Boost Container Unloading at Porto do Lobito

Philippe Labonne, President of the Board of Directors of African Logistic (AGL), has challenged professionals at the Multipurpose Terminal in Porto do Lobito, Benguela, to unload approximately 40 containers per hour in the coming days.

Labonne, as quoted by JA Online, made these remarks during the inauguration of the Multipurpose Terminal last Wednesday.

He emphasized AGL’s intention to transform the infrastructure into a source of pride for Angola.

The PCA further explained that Africa Global Logistics (AGL) aims to enhance infrastructure and upgrade technological equipment, along with providing continuous and intensive training for young professionals involved in the project.

Since December 2023, AGL has assumed management of the Port Terminal following its success in the international concession competition.

The company will oversee the infrastructure for 20 years, with $200 million secured for investments, of which $80 million has already been disbursed.
